On June 14, 2016, while on Royal Caribbean’s Oasis of the Seas cruise, I went to Philipsburg, St. Maarten. It was the first stop, of the trip, and I was expecting the island to be a lot different than how it really turned out. Probably from having high expectations about the place, they were let down really fast, when I arrived there.
I was able to see some of the island, but ended up getting stuck with a time share worker, which wasted a lot of time, and I ended up back on the ship, shortly after. So, it didn’t go as great as I was hoping it would, but the experience was still decent.
The photos below are what I captured, while I was there. I really wished I was able to get more of the beaches, but they wanted credit card information, in order to go on the beach that was through time share. Unfortunately, they don’t mention anything about them working with time share, until you’re at the desk, about to sign up. In case if you happen to go, please be aware of this, because it was right after you get off of the ship.
