From June 11, 2016 through June 18, 2016, I enjoyed a week’s vacation on Royal Caribbean’s Oasis of the Seas cruise. I was able to visit Philipsburg, St. Maarten – San Juan, Puerto Rico – Labadee, Haiti. The ship departed from the ports of Fort Lauderdale, FL. It was a wonderful experience, and I hope to enjoy another cruise, some time in the future.
If I choose to take another cruise it won’t be with Royal Caribbean, because of all the problems I dealt with over the week, while being on there. There were a lot of hidden fee’s and things that would be expected to be included for the price you pay for the tickets.
The entire crew and employees of Royal Caribbean were extremely nice to I never had a problem with them. It’s their job, though, and should be that way. The passengers were the one’s who had attitude problems but a lot of them were very pleasant, as well.
The best thing on the ship was Windjammers, which is an “all you can eat” buffet. It was one of the very few things on board that were free, and all of the meals were very delicious. Every day, there was always a different choice of food. They do keep burgers and fries, for the people who might not want to eat what they’re serving.
If you are looking to take a vacation and would like to go on a cruise, I would suggest in doing A LOT of research, before choosing the right package for you. Carnival might be a cheaper route, but no matter which one you choose to go with, I’m sure they all have their own positives and negatives.
